Beaufort IM chief executive Murray departs

Beaufort Investment Management chief executive Stewart Murray has departed the firm, just months after being appointed to the position.

Murray (pictured), who had worked at the firm since August 2016, was appointed chief executive in April 2017. He also became chief investment officer, previously having shared that role with Stephen Watson. Prior to joining Beaufort, he was head of equities at Rowan Dartington and investment director at Ashburton Investments. A statement from the firm said: "Stewart Murray has left Beaufort Investment Management to pursue other opportunities. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
