AllianzGI's Gent restructures sales team for evolving UK market in first three months at firm

First interview since moving to the role

Speaking to Investment Week in his first interview since moving to Allianz Global Investors in March, head of retail/wholesale, Northern Europe, Adam Gent discussed the changes he has made to the sales team and how he plans to boost the company's brand across the UK.

Gent moved to AllianzGI earlier this year after a decade at Legg Mason, working as its head of UK sales for the past seven. He said: "My initial impression of AllianzGI has been we have not been as prominent in the UK as we could have been, given our global capabilities, but we are looking to evolve that. "Many of our funds, such as the Global Equity Insights fund, have fantastic long-term numbers in other markets, which the UK would find very appealing.
