Square Mile appoints former Rathbones CEO as chairman

Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research has hired former chief executive of Rathbone Brothers Andy Pomfret as chairman of the board, replacing Simon Davies.

Davies, who held the position of chairman since the launch of the company three years ago, has stood down as he has moved abroad but will continue to work as an adviser to the firm. Pomfret (pictured) was formerly chief executive of Rathbone Brothers, but left his role in 2013 after a decade at the helm; Prior to that he spent 13 years at Kleinwort Benson. A year after leaving Rathbones, Pomfret was appointed to the board of of Old Mutual Wealth as a non-executive director.
