Ardevora's Lang reveals his biggest concern in uncertain markets

Ardevora's Jeremy Lang has said his "biggest worry" is what will happen to equities when global interest rates begin to rise, as there is a lack of historical research into such market environments.

Lang, co-founder of Ardevora and manager of its £668m Global Equity and £187m UK Equity fund, said he tends to look through market noise but is concerned about how stockmarkets will be impacted when interest rates move upwards. Rates in the UK and around the world have been near zero after central banks cut them in the wake of the global financial crisis, while quantitative easing programmes have been unleashed to support asset prices and stimulate economies.
