Schroders backs tech-based adviser support business Benchmark Capital

Schroders has invested in technology-led adviser support business Benchmark Capital in its latest push into the UK retail investment market.

Benchmark Capital consists of a technology company and an institutional funds platform, as well as a chartered firm, network of financial advisers and a restricted advice business. The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, will see Peter Harrison (pictured), group chief executive of Schroders, join Benchmark Capital's board as chairman.
