Neptune hires ex-OMGI fixed income head Cowley for consultant role

Neptune Investment Management has hired Stewart Cowley, formerly head of fixed income and macro at OMGI, as a fixed income consultant.

Cowley (pictured) spent six years at Old Mutual Global Investors, heading up the firm's fixed income and macro propositions until his departure in April 2015. At OMGI, he was also manager of the £217m Global Strategic Bond and £221m Managed funds. The former is now co-managed by Christine Johnson and John Peta, while the latter is run by Anthony Gillham and Lee Freeman-Shor. In his new role at Neptune, which he will begin in September, Cowley will be advising chief executive Robin Geffen and chief economist James Dowey on the fixed income allocation of the £665m Neptune Balanced fund....
