Columbia Threadneedle to acquire smart beta provider for US business

Firm focused on EM smart beta

The US business of Columbia Threadneedle Investments has acquired Emerging Global Advisers (EGA), a smart beta portfolio provider covering emerging markets, as it moves to boost its offerings in this area of the market.

Columbia Threadneedle has also registered a range of sustainable ETFs for sale in the US. Currently, there are no plans to bring the ETF range to the European market, but it remains a key focus for the US business.
