Barings expands bond team as group plans absolute return launch

Barings has added to its fixed income team with the hire of David Nowakowski as director of research from Roubini Global Economics.

Nowakowski was a senior director of research at Roubini and prior to this he worked as a strategist and portfolio manager at Atlas Capital. He will be based at the firm's London office and report to Barings' head of research Nigel Sillis. Barings rebuilds after big name exits His hire coincides with the firm's plans to expand its fixed income offering to include total return and absolute return strategies.
