BMO GAM brings £2.2bn global absolute return fund to UK retail market

BMO Global Asset Management (formerly F&C) has made the £2.2bn global absolute return fund, run by affiliate Pyrford, available to UK retail investors for the first time.

The Pyrford Global Total Return strategy has been managed by a 13-strong team at the group since inception in 1994, but was previously only available to institutional clients. However, it is now making the fund available to retail investors via BMO GAM’s distribution capabilities by launching a sterling share class. The absolute return fund aims to generate positive returns above inflation with a low level of volatility and to preserve capital over rolling 12-month periods.
