Schroders hires multi-asset research head

Schroders has strengthened its multi-asset team with the hire of Ashley Lester from MSCI as global head of research.

Lester will join the multi-asset investments and portfolio solutions arm in New York this month, which has £77.3bn under management - and includes the multi-billion global multi-asset income fund. He will report to Nico Marais (pictured), head of the multi-asset business. At MSCI, Lester was head of fixed income and multi-asset research. He has also worked as head of market risk research at Morgan Stanley and as assistant professor of economics at Brown University and Columbia Business School.
