Heartwood poaches Barings' marketing head

Heartwood Investment Management has hired Marian Black from Baring Asset Management to head up its investment marketing.

Black (pictured) will be responsible for the development and communication of the firm's investment proposition, reporting to head of investment product Matt Hollier, with a focus on opening up wholesale and intermediary channels. She joins from Barings, where she has worked as head of EMEA wholesale and institutional marketing since August 2013. She also previously worked at Lloyds Wealth International, HSBC Global Asset Management, and was head of marketing at Aegon Asset Management and Alliance Trust.
