Unicorn Asset Management has hired two junior fund managers to work across the group's fund range.

Former Stanhope Capital adviser Alex Game and Brewin Dolphin investment manager Max Ormiston will work closely with senior fund managers, as well as supplying research.

The appointments were made in March, three months before Unicorn founder and top UK equity manager John McClure passed away. His co-managers Simon Moon and Fraser Mackersie continue to run the smaller companies portfolio which McClure headed up.

Mackersie said: “Alex and Max have further strengthened the investment team – they will be working closely with the senior Fund Managers across the Unicorn fund range and supporting the Investment Committee with wider research.”
