SEI appoints ex-Skandia chief Williams as MD

SEI has appointed former Cofunds and Skandia CEO Brett Williams as managing director of its private bank platform, SEI Wealth.

Williams (pictured) exited the platform space some years ago, setting up his own business before moving to join private equity house LW2 Private Equity Partnership. But he has made the surprise decision to return to the sector just a year and a half after launching the venture. As part of the management reshuffle, the firm has also promoted Jim London to chief operating officer.
