Mattioli Woods buys Atkinson Bolton in £6m deal

Pensions consultant and wealth manager Mattioli Woods has bought Atkinson Bolton Consulting (ABC) in a £6m deal.

Mattioli Woods has acquired the firm's holding company, Thoroughbred Wealth Management, in an acquisition which will add to its financial planning, employee benefits and discretionary investment capabilities. The deal will also give Mattioli Woods ownership of ABC's OEIC, the IM Throughbred Funds ICVC. Mattioli Woods said the acquisition is worth just under £6m, with an initial consideration of £3.24m - comprising £375,000 in cash about 900,000 new shares.
