Ed Moisson, head of UK & cross-border research at Lipper, is leaving the firm to pursue a new opportunity in the industry.

Moisson (pictured), who has headed up Lipper's UK and European fund management research division for the past fourteen years, is to leave the firm in the coming weeks. A well-known figure in the industry, Moisson has published a number of influential research papers on the fund management industry. For instance, a report on fund charges published last year revealed annual costs had reduced returns on the average equity fund by 27.9 percentage points over the past decade. Annual costs, such as administration or management fees, reduced the average 10-year return of a fund from 98.7...
