Threadneedle UK small-cap head takes 'extended sabbatical'

Threadneedle's head of UK smaller companies Dan Vaughan has taken an "extended sabbatical" from the group for the foreseeable future.

Vaughan, deputy manager of Threadneedle's UK Smaller Companies and UK Mid 250 funds, will hand over his responsibilities to the group's 11-strong UK equity team. Vaughan, who joined the firm in 2000, is also responsible for life and pension mandates at Threadneedle. A spokesperson for Threadneedle confirmed Vaughan has decided to take a break from the industry. "Dan Vaughan has decided to leave Threadneedle to take an extended sabbatical from the City, and we wish him well in his endeavours," said the spokesperson.
