Ecclesiastical appoints Hews as CEO

Ecclesiastical has appointed Mark Hews as group chief executive officer with immediate effect.

He joined Ecclesiastical in April 2009 as group chief financial officer and executive director of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office. Over the past four years he has lead a number of significant initiatives to boost the financial strength and profitability of the business, the group said. These included leading a capital raising exercise and revamping Ecclesiastical Investment Management.
