SWIP's Clunie to join Jupiter

UK equity manager James Clunie has left his role at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) to join Jupiter Asset Management.

Clunie (pictured) ran the SWIP UK Flexible Strategy fund since joining the group in April 2007, and also briefly ran the SWIP UK Opportunities fund on an interim basis last year. He will join Jupiter in July to help develop its total return and equity long-short offering. Jupiter said: "We are delighted to have attracted someone of his calibre as we seek to grow our share in these markets."
