Cazenove's Dean will not run Buxton's assets post merger

Cazenove's Julie Dean will not be running Richard Buxton's assets after the takeover of the company by Schroders, and the firm is still actively looking for his replacement.

Cazenove said Dean's investment style is too different from Buxton's (pictured) and Schroders is actively looking to replace him. It was announced earlier this month that Buxton will leave Schroders in June for Old Mutual Global Investors after more than a decade at the group, along with his deputy Errol Francis. Together, the pair ran £6bn of assets, including the £3.2bn UK Alpha Plus fund, which is among the top performers in the IMA UK All Companies sector.
