Miton readies UK Value Opportunities fund for ex-Matterley duo

Miton is preparing to add a new product to its stable for the two managers it recently poached from Matterley.

The group will launch the CF Miton UK Value Opportunities fund on 25 March. It will be run by George Godber (pictured) and Georgina Hamilton, who joined the firm at the end of last year. They will construct a multi-cap portfolio looking for opportunities in less well covered areas of the UK equity market, with unlisted holdings and AIM stocks featuring in the fund. “UK listed stocks that are not in the index present opportunities, and are not well covered by analysts,” said Godber, pointing to the Daily Mail, Schroders’ non-voting share class, and Dragon Oil as examples the managers f...
