Garrett-Cox: Three roadblocks which could halt market rally

Alliance Trust chief executive Katherine Garrett-Cox has outlined three roadblocks which could hinder economic growth in 2013 and derail soaring global equity markets.

Speaking exclusively to Investment Week after the trust announced its annual results, Garrett-Cox cautioned a number of upcoming European elections could unsettle markets later this year. "There are three roadblocks which could potentially halt economic progress. The first of which is the eurozone. There is the upcoming German election in September, and given Germany has been a huge driver for change in the eurozone, there will be a change of focus before the election," she said.
