Western AM makes quadruple hire for bond team

Legg Mason's fixed income specialist subsidiary Western Asset Management has boosted its Asian fixed income team with four hires.

After hiring a head of investment management for Asia (ex-Japan) Chia-Liang Lian in 2011, the company has expanded the team with four new appointments, bringing the total number of team members to seven. Desmond Soon (pictured) has been hired as portfolio manager from ST Asset Management and Swee Ching Lim has been hired as credit research analyst from Barclays Capital in London.
