Franklin Templeton launches multi-asset Brazil fund

Franklin Templeton has launched a Brazilian Opportunities fund targeting a total return from Brazilian equity, fixed income and currency markets.

The fund will be managed by Stephen Dover, MD of Franklin Templeton's Local Asset Management group, and Sao-Paulo based Marco Freire and Frederico Sampaio, the firm's CIOs for Brazilian fixed income and equities, respectively. Portfolio construction will centre on bottom-up analysis and a macroeconomic view of asset allocation across equities, fixed income and currency markets. Launched in Luxembourg on 27 July, the group is seeking FSA approval for the fund to be made available to UK investors.
