S&W to launch Medium-Dated Corporate Bond fund for Kenny

Smith & Williamson Investment Management is to add to its fixed income range with a Medium-Dated Corporate Bond fund for Ian Kenny.

The fund, to be launched on 16 July, will sit alongside the £400m Short-Dated Corporate Bond fund, also run by Kenny, which was launched in April 2009. The Medium-Dated fund will invest in investment grade corporate bonds, denominated in sterling, dollar or euros, with maturities ranging from six to 12 years. When overseas currencies are used they will be hedged back into sterling. Kenny will be supported by Chris Lynas, head of fixed interest at S&W and manager of the Fixed Interest Trust, which sits in the Strategic Bond sector.
