Prudential appoints Manduca as chairman

Prudential has appointed Paul Manduca as chairman, succeeding Harvey McGrath in the £600,000 post.

Manduca, currently chairman of Aon UK, had been hotly-tipped to take up the position at the country's second largest insurer. He founded Threadneedle Asset Management in 1994, as well as serving as CEO of Rothschild Asset Management and Deutsche Asset Management. Manduca said Prudential "is a renowned financial institution with a track record of strong delivery".
