Premier has expanded its global equities team with the appointment of James Smith who joins from Utilico in June.
He will work alongside CIO Mike Jennings and senior investment managers Jake Robbins, Claire Burgess and Fen Sung. As well as contributing to the overall global process at Premier, Smith's primary responsibility will be the management of Premier's Energy & Water mandates, the Premier Energy and Water trust and the Premier Global Power and Water fund. Smith spent 13 years at Utilico where he was part of the team responsible for the successful management of Utilico Investments Limited and Utilico Emerging Markets Limited which together have over £800m under management.
