Former LVAM CIO Hillier joins Kames

Former LV= Asset Management chief investment officer (CIO) Piers Hillier has joined Kames Capital as head of overseas equities.

Hillier will support Stuart Fraser on Kames' European Equity fund and Ian Cooke on the North American and Global Equity funds, which are not currently being marketed by Kames. At LVAM, Hillier co-manages the eight risk-profiled multi-manager funds as well as leading a team of 25 making asset allocation decisions. He joined the firm in February 2010, but was not retained by Threadneedle upon completion of its £8bn outsourcing deal last November.
