Former Schroders head of derivatives Darren Cannon has joined Martin Currie as chief operating officer, reporting to chief executive Willie Watt (pictured).
Prior to Schroders, Cannon worked at UBS Global Asset Management as head of global operations and head of Asia Pacific operations. He first joined the firm in 1989. Cannon will have overall responsibility for Martin Currie's operational functions, including information technology, client reporting, investment operations, transitions and the project team. He will also serve as a member of the executive committee.
