Aberdeen is taking on the management of two emerging market Credit Suisse funds, which will be merged into existing offshore portfolios run by Devan Kaloo and Brett Diment.
Aberdeen becomes investment adviser to the $94m Credit Suisse Equity Fund (Lux) Brazil fund and the $153m Credit Suisse Bond Fund (Lux) Brazil fund on 2 April. The two funds will be merged into the Luxembourg-domiciled Aberdeen Global SICAV in June 2012 where they will appear as the Aberdeen Global – Brazil Equity and Aberdeen Global – Brazil Bond funds. The Brazil equity strategy will be managed by Aberdeen’s global emerging markets team, led by Kaloo, while the EM debt team, led by Diment (pictured), will run the bond fund.
