HSBC chairman Douglas Flint has called time on the eurozone sovereign debt crisis and said it is set to be over in a "reasonably short timeframe".
European leaders are set to take "firm action" to find a solution to the eurozone crisis by the second half of this year, said Flint at the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong, the Telegraph reported "The crisis will end when the solution has been found or has been articulated in a credible way," he said. "The market needs to recognise that there is a mechanism to enforce fiscal discipline and there is a shared burden of fiscal responsibility and transfer.
