AXA IM's Zemek steps back from running money

Nick Hayes has taken over management of the £135m AXA Sterling Corporate Bond fund from global head of fixed income Theodora Zemek.

Hayes has been manager of the £43m Sterling Strategic Bond fund since he joined AXA IM and will now take over the Sterling Corporate fund. Zemek will now concentrate on her role as global head of fixed income, managing a team of 80, as well as her position on AXA IM's management board. Zemek joined AXA IM in March 2008 from New Star, where she managed over £1.5bn in assets as head of fixed income. She took over management of the AXA Sterling Corporate Bond fund in September 2008.
