Barings hires Whitbread for multi-asset team

Baring Asset Management has hired Matthew Whitbread to work on the multi-asset team in Boston.

He will report to head of multi-asset for North America, Hayes Miller, also based in Boston, and work across the multi-asset range including the funds available to UK investors. Whitbread joins from Fundquest where he was a portfolio manager. His 12 years investment experience also includes time at Pyramis Global Advisers and MFS Investment Management. The hire brings the team to eight managers and two analysts who are responsible for running £5.7bn in the multi-asset range.
