SWIP expands real estate team with five appointments

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has boosted its real estate offering with the hire of five investment managers.

Elaine Hughes has joined SWIP from CB Richard Ellis. She will assist Gerry Ferguson, head of wholesale real estate, with the management of the £2.3bn SWIP Property trust. Tom Elviss previously worked for DTZ, and joined SWIP in July this year. He reports to Cameron Murray, investment director in the wholesale real estate team. Veronica Gallo-Alvarez previously worked for Invista Real Estate Investment Management, where she managed its Clerical Medical Non Sterling With Profits property fund, which she will continue to run as SWIP takes over the mandate.
