BlackRock has launched an emerging markets equity income fund targeting a minimum yield of 30% above the MCSI Emerging Markets Equity index.
The BlackRock Global Funds (BGF) Emerging Markets Equity Income fund will sit within the asset manager's Luxembourg Sicav range, managed by Dhiren Shah. Shah said the fund was launched to tap into rising dividend growth in emerging markets and will aim to generate a minimum yield 30% above its benchmark, the MSCI index. Shah added he will invest in businesses with strong franchises with above median yields.
