T1ps launches Indian equity fund

T1ps Investment Management (TIM) is set to launch the Elite t1ps India Fund, an equities-focused unit trust, on 1 August.

The fund will focus on small- to medium-sized Indian companies undervalued by the market, with a market capitalisation of between $50m and $750m. TIM has recruited a Mumbai-based manager to head up the fund in conjunction with senior fund manager Tom Winnifrith, but is yet to reveal the manger name for legal reasons. TIM takes a group approach to fund management and the entire team, including Robert Sutherland Smith, Ross Jones and James Faulkner, will also help manage the fund.
