Chene to replace Polin at Ignis

Claude Chene has joined Ignis as global head of distribution, taking over the responsibilities of outgoing sales and marketing director Jonathan Polin.

Chene will join the firm in October from New York based AllianceBernstein where he has held business development, marketing and client servicing roles. He has previously worked for UBS Asset Management, Chase Investors Management and Irving Trust Company. Chene will sit on the Ignis board and will report to Chris Samuel, the chief executive. The appointment follows yesterday's announcement the group has hired Mark Holden to run its UK Focus fund.
