Gartmore's Anderson unlikely to join Henderson after merger

Fixed income manager John Anderson is not expected to make the move across to Henderson Global Investors following the group's takeover of Gartmore, Investment Week understands.

A source has told Investment Week Anderson is currently looking for other job opportunities. Anderson, who joined Gartmore from Rensburg in 2009, was not included in a list of managers Henderson confirmed would be joining back in January. The group is now close to completing the takeover of Gartmore and is expected to announce the full list of funds it will run imminently. At Gartmore he manages the £248m Fixed Interest fund, as well as the recently launched £96m Corporate Bond fund.
