Tom Turpin, the chief executive officer of Old Mutual Asset Management, is leaving the firm after eight years.
He will hand over day to day operating responsibilities to chief operating officer Linda Gibson, who will become interim CEO until a replacement for Turpin is found. She will report directly to Julian Roberts, the group chief executive of Old Mutual. "With the announcement of our intention to instigate a partial initial public offering, Tom has decided that it is the right time to pursue other professional and personal interests," the group says.
