Swip appoints equities director; Wombwell departs

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) has promoted joint chief investment officer Andrew November to the role of director of equities.

He will have overall responsibility for investment philosophy and process, and will oversee the UK equities, international equities, and dealing and derivatives teams. November has been a member of the group's executive team since 2003 and has held the position of joint CIO for the last six years. Most recently he was in charge of the creation of Swip's Investment Solutions team, which he will continue to oversee until the group appoints a replacement.
