Goldmans' Cielinski to lead Threadneedle bond team

Goldman Sachs' Jim Cielinski is to join Threadneedle as the head of fixed income in the latest of a series of high profile appointments for the group.

Cielinski will lead the fixed income team of 38 who run £22bn of retail and institutional assets across government bonds, high yield, emerging market debt and investment grade corporates. He replaces William Frewen, who left the group in March this year. Cielinski takes up his role in October. He previously spent 12 years at Goldmans Sachs Asset Management where he was managing director and head of global investment grade credit, involved in developing investment process, strategy and risk management.
