Gartmore launches European hedge fund for Bennett

Gartmore has launched a hedge fund for John Bennett on its European equities team.

The Gartmore AlphaGen Pan-European Equity hedge fund is a Dublin-domiciled sub-fund of the group's Qualified Investor Fund umbrella, also domiciled in Dublin. Bennett will run the fund along similar lines to the European Equity hedge fund he managed at Gam between 1999 and 2009. At Gartmore Bennett and his team run €4bn (£3.3bn) of European equities.
