Premier renames UK Thematic Growth fund as King takes over

Premier has changed the name of its £64m UK Thematic fund to UK Strategic Growth to better reflect the style of new manager Simon King.

At the moment the fund is run with a top-down process driven by selected long-term themes, while King is more bottom-up-driven. The fund is multi cap, and King's investment approach sees him select holdings from across the market-cap spectrum. King took over the fund last month from Mike Jennings. Noting he is fortunate the portfolio he inherited was in good shape, King says it did not require any emergency care and he has made only one name change since taking it over.
