Martin Currie poaches Swip emerging markets duo

Martin Currie has poached Swip's head of global emerging market equities Kim Catechis and investment director Alistair Reynolds.

The pair will join Martin Currie in November, with Catechis taking on the newly-created role of head of global emerging markets and Reynolds as his deputy. It follows Martin Currie's decision to run a GEM desk separate from its Asia operations. "Currently, our GEM team is part of our Asia franchise managed by Jason McCay," sales marketing and client service managing director Andy Sowerby says.
