Strategic Bond funds were the best sellers amongst retail investors in February as they continued to rotate out of plain vanilla Corporate Bond vehicles.
The Strategic Bond sector topped the list for the first time since April 2008 with £278m net sales. This was in stark contrast to the Corporate Bond sector which was the lowest seller with net outflows of £140m. A year ago, Corporate Bond funds were the best selling IMA sector, and ranked top for 10 months running from November 2008, but many investors believe the value has now left investment grade names.
