Aberdeen plans to merge away its UK and European Opportunities funds into similar larger vehicles.
Subject to shareholder approval, the £41.7m UK Opportunities fund will merge into the £119m Aberdeen UK Growth fund - which will subsequently be renamed the Aberdeen UK Equity fund. Similarly, the £5.4m Aberdeen European Opportunities fund will merge into its £224m European Growth fund - which will be renamed the Aberdeen European Equity fund. If the proposals are agreed, the TER on the UK Opportunities fund will fall from 1.9% to 1.63% and from 1.93% to 1.65% on European Opportunities.
