SWIP head of UK equities quits

The head of UK equities at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) Robert Waugh has left the firm.

SWIP says Waugh, who also managed the firm's £28m Absolute Return UK Equity fund, will now pursue a career away from running money in UK shares. Peter Cockburn, investment director UK equities, will step in as head of UK equities on an interim basis. Dean Buckley, managing director at SWIP, thanked Robert for his contribution to the company over six years and wished him well for the future.
