Thames River recruits assistant manager for ex-Quantum fund

Thames River has appointed Gaurav Bamania as assistant fund manager on its UK Absolute Income fund.

Bamania, previously at Emergant Asset Management, will work alongside lead manager Joel Amsellem, who moved to Thames River when the boutique took over the fund’s management from Quantum in June. Former Quantum CEO Mark Mathias will remain with Thames River temporarily to oversee the fund's transition. Thames River investment director Michael Warren says the £9.7m fund has seen marginal inflows since the group took over, but he anticipates more significant movements when the vehicle transfers to the boutique’s Dublin-domiciled umbrella in September. “Once we have the fund under our...
