manager at thames river capital to head European large-cap fund with one third in UK equities
Tony Zucker, fund manager at Thames River Capital, is to run a pan European large cap equities fund, with a third of the portfolio in UK equities. Thames River only intends to have an initial 4% allocation to growth stocks. This is because the group believes many companies classified as such have grown through acquisition rather than by having fundamentally strong business models. The European Nations Fund will have a similar strategic position to Thames River's European fund, which Zucker has run since March 1999.
