IMA plans to abolish the Global Equity & Bond and Global Equity Income sectors and split the UK Gilt sector in two have been approved by the body's Performance Category Review Committee (PCRC). The changes will be implemented in time for May's fund performance figures, which will be published towards the end of June after being approved at the PCRC earlier this month. The abolition of the Global Equity & Bond sector follows a recent PCRC committee decision that when a sector is comprised of fewer than 10 funds, abolition should be considered.
