The second quarter saw renewed interest by investors in investment trust Isas. According to AITC figures, sales for the period April to June came in at £66.41m, compared with £56.8m for the first quarter, a rise of 17%. In year-on-year terms, Isa purchases during the second quarter were down 4% from £69.11m during the same period in 2000. This compares with the latest figures from Autif, which show that gross unit trust Isa purchases were up 2% in the second quarter of 2001 compared to January to April.
